MIGRAINE MODE

Hat? Check! Sunscreen? Check! Bathing suit? Check! You may already have a standard summer camp packing list, but if your child experiences migraines, you’ll want to ensure they’re set up for a comfortable, safe, and fun camp experience. Review our summer camp checklist below to make the most of your child’s summer

This Migraine-Friendly Camp Checklist covers key steps to prepare both your child and the camp staff. Essential actions include:
  • Consulting with your child’s doctor and refilling prescriptions
  • Meeting with camp staff before camp begins
  • Assembling an Emergency Kit and a personalized Headache Plan to help manage migraine attacks should they occur.

Important: Migraine protocols should be followed by both your child and the camp staff. This includes supervisors and counselors directly responsible for your child’s care. Immediate, preventive action can make the difference between minimizing migraine intensity or experiencing a full-blown attack.

Do you have additional tips for migraine management at camp? We’d love to hear from you!
