MIGRAINE MODE
This comprehensive resource empowers parents and families to effectively support children and teens (ages 6-17) who suffer from migraine and other headache disorders. It provides a clear overview of the criteria for diagnosing migraine and tension headaches, and explains two key strategies for managing migraines: acute migraine treatment and migraine prevention.

The guide covers both over-the-counter and prescription medication options, and offers practical self-management tips for daily headache prevention. These include advice on physical activity, sleep, diet, mind-body connection, maintaining a migraine diary, and using neuromodulation devices. Additionally, it provides a list of valuable online resources.

Developed in collaboration with the Canadian Headache Society, the Pediatric Canadian Headache Network (PeCaHN), and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, this guide is a trusted resource for families.

For convenience, Migraine Canada also offers a concise 1-page version (printed front and back) of the guide, perfect for quick reference.

Remember, any child experiencing headaches at any age should consult a healthcare provider.
