Move for Migraine
What is Move for Migraine?
Move for Migraine is an awareness and fundraising campaign dedicated to bringing the community together to elevate understanding of this neurological disease and to foster unity within the community. Our goal is to build robust community support, engaging individuals and groups to create a strong network of solidarity. We encourage you to join forces to effect meaningful change!
Move for Migraine takes place during Migraine Awareness Month of June. Participants can show their support by running, walking, bicycling, swimming, practicing yoga, relaxing and/or other activities to spread awareness, show support, and fundraise for Migraine Canada.

In 2025, we’ve completed enough steps to walk all the way across Canada! Thank you for participating in our challenge

This year, we introduced an exciting new challenge: a collective goal for Move for Migraine participants to symbolically walk across Canada—from coast to coast.
While we knew the full trek would likely take more than just the month of June, we got started together and set out to tackle one province at a time. And thanks to your participation, we made incredible progress!
The Distance: Walking from Victoria, British Columbia to St. John’s, Newfoundland covers approximately 7,013 km, or about 10.26 million steps—and we surpassed it with over 11.8 million steps logged!
Let’s keep the momentum going and go even further next year.

Supporters have the flexibility to participate virtually or by organizing local in-person meet-ups. As details of in-person gatherings are confirmed, we will update the information on our site. If you’re interested in hosting a meet-up in your city or town, we’re here to assist you. Please contact us at [email protected].
Fundraising
Utilizing our Peer-to-Peer fundraising platform, we encourage all community members to get involved. You can participate individually or form teams with family, friends, and colleagues. Each participant is empowered to share their personal fundraising page and stories, helping to promote their fundraising efforts and the broader cause.
We encourage participants to post on social media throughout the week and tag us to help spread awareness and have our voices heard. Use our Move for Migraine Fundraising Toolkit for sample posts, copy, and fundraising tips!
