Migraine Canada Featured on CTV News for Migraine Awareness Month
Migraine Canada was recently featured on CTV News in a segment dedicated to Migraine Awareness Month. We were proud to help facilitate this important opportunity to raise national awareness about migraine and its impact on the lives of millions of Canadians.
The segment featured Dr. Will Kingston, headache neurologist and Board Director with Migraine Canada. Dr. Kingston spoke about what migraine really is, a complex and disabling neurological condition, and addressed the widespread stigma and misunderstanding that still surrounds it. He emphasized the urgent need for more public education, better access to care, and increased recognition of the serious impact migraine has on those who live with it.
The segment also highlighted Migraine Canada’s Move for Migraine campaign, which invites people across the country to get moving throughout June in support of those living with migraine. In addition, Dr. Kingston discussed the many resources Migraine Canada offers to help people better understand, manage, and live with migraine.
We are thrilled to see national media coverage focused on migraine and the ongoing challenges faced by our community. Awareness is one of the first steps toward change, and this segment represents meaningful progress toward reducing stigma and improving support.
