Presented by Annie Ledoux, MSc, Occupational Therapist & Migraine Québec Instructor

Discover how occupational therapy for migraine management can help you regain control over your daily life and improve your overall well-being. In this educational session, occupational therapist Annie Ledoux explains how occupational therapy (OT) applies to people living with migraine. She shares practical ways OT can support you in managing symptoms, reducing triggers, and staying engaged in meaningful activities—at home, work, and beyond. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or navigating chronic migraine, this session offers valuable insights and take-home strategies.

What You’ll Learn

This session will help you understand:

  • What occupational therapy is and how it supports people with chronic illness
  • How OT complements migraine treatment and improves daily function
  • What to expect in an OT treatment plan tailored to migraine
  • How to find a migraine-informed OT practitioner in your area
  • Useful resources like the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and provincial regulatory registries
Why Occupational Therapy Helps with Migraine

Occupational therapy focuses on daily function and well-being. For those with migraine, it can offer guidance on energy management, task pacing, sensory regulation, and workplace adaptations. These strategies can make day-to-day activities more manageable and help reduce the risk of migraine becoming chronic.
