If you’re living with migraine and struggling to afford your treatment, Migraine Canada is here to help. We’ve compiled a helpful list of Patient Support Programs (PSPs) designed to assist you with insurance coverage, reimbursement support, and financial assistance for migraine medications.
What Are Patient Support Programs?
Patient Support Programs are services provided by pharmaceutical companies to help patients access their prescribed medications. These programs can:
- Help you navigate your treatment journey, from reimbursement, to travel planning, to injection training or infusion coordination.
- Assist with insurance paperwork
- Help you apply for private or public drug plan coverage
- Offer ongoing support & reminders to help you stay on track with your treatment.
- Offer financial support options if coverage is limited
How to Enroll
For medications that have a PSP, your healthcare provider will complete a special enrollment form—this serves as both a prescription and a referral. Once the PSP receives your form, they will contact you directly to:
- Guide you through the application process
- Help you fill out forms for insurance reimbursement
- Explain out-of-pocket cost support options
